Main Tasks:
- Separate laundry, load and unload the machines ensuring that all clothes are washed and dried at the correct temperatures.
- Ensure that all labels are marked with the correct names on them, identifying any items of clothing that are poor quality and report them to the line manager.
- Ensure that the clients' personal possessions are treated with respect.
- Cleaning of toilets, floors, walls, furniture, fittings, appliances etc. to the methods and frequencies as specified by the Registered Manager of the service.
- Carry out all non-cleaning tasks and resident related duties to the method and frequencies specified by the Registered Manager of the service.
- Report any faults or defects within the fabric of the building to the Registered Manager, also ensure the building is secure at the end of the assigned working period.
- Work under the Health And Safety Guidelines and C.O.S.H.H., and store all toxic substances in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Ensure that the domestic equipment is in good order, and report any repair or faults to the Registered Manager and/or Head of Residential Services.
- Monitor a monthly list of cleaning supplies and submit these to the Registered Manager to enable them to order appropriate cleaning items from the suppliers.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the designated work area and its environs and observe safe working methods at all times.
- Where appropriate, undertake training conducive to personal role development.
