Hours Per Week: 37 hours and 30 minutes per week

Role: Activity Manager

Autism Together is one of the country’s leading providers of services and support to autistic people and their families. It is an exciting time to be joining the charity within one of our Day Service areas in the Wirral as we are looking to organically grow the team.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure the efficient running of the day service activities with the service area that you are responsible for under the direction of the Service Manager.
  • To develop the people we support’s programme to ensure lifelong learning and skills development for the people we support who attend your service.
  • To ensure that the day service is autistic-specific and person-centred.
  • To ensure that there is a high standard of service delivery.
  • To ensure that detailed records and reports are maintained.
  • To ensure that new people we support have successful transition into the day service and support senior managers in promoting the service.

Management

  • To have line management responsibility for the support staff in your service.
  • To conduct adequate supervision, appraisals, training, and development for your staff.
  • To ensure that poor practice is dealt with promptly and professionally.
  • To raise any concerns directly with your line manager.
  • To attend meetings and training as requested.
  • To supervise any student or volunteer allocated to your activity.
  • To contribute and take part in staff-related activities, including recruitment, disciplinary and grievance matters as directed by the Service Manager.
