GENERAL DUTIES
- Provides teaching instructions services within a program of education courses with the highest professional standards consistent with the policies and procedures of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
- Participates in extra-curricular activities for pupils and general supervision of students on school playgrounds during play periods, on school property and over school rooms during noon hour and school hours and school events outside of school hours.
- Participates in community activities beneficial to the students, school or membership.
- Protects and maintains school property and facilities.
- Reports any damage or potential damage to school property and facilities to the Principal.
- Encourages and fosters a team spirit within the local school.
- Participates in training sessions, workshops and short courses for the purpose of upgrading skills and keeping informed of new developments.
- The Teacher may be required to travel from time to time and should possess a valid Saskatchewan driver license or access to reasonable transportation. Travel will be contingent on the availability of funding.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Keeps the Principal informed on significant events and correspondence concerning areas under the authority of the Teacher affecting the quality of the education of the students and school operations.
- Ensures all health and safety regulations in the workplace are adhered to and followed.
- Reports any matter that can be reasonably regarded as posing a danger to the health and safety of the students, school staff and guests.
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct as contained in the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Education Authority Inc. Personnel Manual.
- To perform their duties in accordance to the directives of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Education Authority Inc. Personnel Manual as ratified by Education Committee.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Principal or as the contractual obligations of their annual agreements are amended.
