Autism Plus are a leading Yorkshire Charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.
In 1986 the Charity was created by a group of parents looking for the very best support for their children who were about to leave a specialist school.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Partner you will believe in our ethos and values, and you will want to make a difference in someone’s life.
The primary purpose of the PBS team is to lead on the day to day delivery of Positive Behaviour Support within the service, including the creation, continuous development and implementation of Positive Behavioural Support Plans.
This will be carried out through regular assessment and observations of the people we support.
The PBS team work closely with staff teams to provide a consistent person centred approach, to share good practice, advise and upskill in the principles of PBS.
Key Responsibilities
- The timely construction of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans.
- Review and adaptation of PBS plans in response to the level of need and best practice.
- Gathering information from a range of sources; direct observation, written, verbal and through supportive questioning of the person and support staff.
- Liaison with staff teams across the patch to aid with broader behavioural support needs.
- Support Team Managers to implement PBS plans.
- Work in collaboration with Health and social care professionals involved in the care and support of our individuals.
- Support teams to create their own specific aids for the people we care for such as social stories, augmentative communication aids and sensory support.
- Ability to coach, mentor and act as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating best practice in documentation and recording standards (e. g., incident reports, ABC charts).

- Maintain flexibility in line with business needs, including working hours.
- Be available to provide cover for staff absences (e. g., sickness, annual leave).
