About the Role

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm

Location: Thorne, Doncaster Office (with some home working)

Occasional travel across Yorkshire is required to meet the needs of the business.

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join Autism Plus, working within a HR Team and reporting into the HR Manager. The key purpose of the role will be to support the HR team in providing an efficient and effective HR service to employees and managers across the business and striving to improve the HR service being delivered.

The HR Advisor will take ownership for advising managers in dealing with employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary & grievance, performance management and absence management, and ensuring compliance with Autism Plus policies and current employment legislation.

There will be an induction provided which will include online training as well as shadowing within the HR Team.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • CIPD qualified – minimum Level 5
  • Experience of working as a HR Advisor and dealing with employee relations
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience of working in care sector is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective, creative and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver ad-hoc presentations and HR training
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks with strong time management
  • Effective problem solving and judgement to make decisive, key and sometimes difficult decisions
  • Positive attitude, proactive, self-aware, and empathetic
  • Willing to travel across other areas of the business as and when required
