Complex Care Support Worker – Male Only, Night Shift.
Location: Hull.
Hours: Shifts may cover weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota.
Essential: Male only. Previous experience in a similar setting as a Complex Care Support Worker.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with complex needs/mental health issues in their homes, following Care Plans and assessing their skills and needs.
- Provide positive behaviour support to individuals expressing frustrations or challenging behaviours, using appropriate strategies.
- Deliver practical support such as helping with household tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, and paperwork.
- Offer emotional support by listening to concerns and providing a supportive conversation.
- Understand communication needs and adapt communication style accordingly.
- Provide unconditional positive regard, respect the right to privacy, and maintain the individual’s dignity at all times.
- Assist the Clinical Team with their clinical duties regarding the individual.
- Act as a role model and companion, discovering shared interests such as hobbies and outings.
