The Role: Senior Support Worker (Nights)
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll lead by example during night shifts, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of individuals while supporting and guiding the night team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a calm, secure environment and ensuring high standards of care are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the night team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Monitor individuals throughout the night, responding to needs and incidents professionally
- Support with bedtime routines and overnight care
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
- Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and secure
- Communicate effectively with day staff to ensure continuity of care
- Uphold Autism Pathways’ values and promote a person-centred approach
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced and confident in supporting individuals with autism and complex needs
- Leadership skills – able to guide and support a team effectively
- Empathetic and proactive – passionate about making a difference
- Reliable and resilient – able to manage behaviours and respond to challenges
- Organised and detail-oriented – with strong observation and reporting skills
- Flexible – willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends
- Committed to development – open to training and progression opportunities
- Experience in autism, learning disabilities, or complex behavioural needs is essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
