Location: Maghull, Merseyside

Hours: 16–25 per week (pro‑rata to 39 hours)

Salary: £26,485 per annum pro‑rata based on 39 hours.

About us: Autism Initiatives provides a personalised, autism specialist service that makes a positive difference to the lives of autistic people.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a trusting and respectful rapport with people with autism and support with personal care, whilst promoting and encouraging independence.
  • Provide quality support that is personalised to individual health and well‑being needs.
  • Promote community engagement, enabling people with autism to be part of their local community.
  • Activities may include swimming, walking, holidays, shopping, meals out, cleaning and laundry, medical appointments, administering medication, handling finance, completing reports, and basic IT skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Flexible with working patterns: early and late shifts, weekends, long days, bank holidays, Christmas, sleep‑ins and potentially night shifts in the event of staff shortages.
  • Background or understanding of supporting autistic people is preferable; training and support will be provided.
  • Driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred for the Driver‑Preferred role.
