Support Workers – Edinburgh Outreach Support Services

Employment: Full-time, Part-time opportunities available

Salary: £27,564.73 - £28,562.27 p.a. pro rata (based on 39 hours pw)

We have Support Worker opportunities for individuals to join our Outreach service across Edinburgh. Our Edinburgh Outreach Services provide dynamic outreach services across the city within the community, in people’s own homes, as well as use of a building base.

At Autism Initiatives we provide specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to making a difference to the lives of autistic people, as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will promote the positive health and well-being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life and encouraging them to live as independently as possible. Support individuals to participate in daily activities and access their community where appropriate.

Qualifications and requirements

Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion to making a difference to the lives of autistic people, as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role. Must register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or equivalent regulatory body.
