Overview / About the role

We are seeking a friendly Support Worker to join our supported living in Walton. You will be committed to supporting autistic people to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community. Our Support Workers focus on encouraging health and well-being and the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support to autistic individuals to live as independently as possible and participate in the local community.
  • Encourage health and well-being and support people to achieve their goals.
  • Deliver flexible support that is built on each person’s strengths and preferences.
  • Support people in pursuing their hobbies and interests and engaging in community activities.
  • Support people in their voluntary work and other daily activities as agreed.

  • A good verbal and written communicator
  • Patient, caring and supportive
  • A passion to develop and learn new skills
  • Ability to work to your own initiative and be a team player
