We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to join our friendly team at our autism One Stop Shop in Cardiff. We are looking for a resilient and enthusiastic individual to support with the management and operation of the One Stop Shop and focus on developing our service provision for autistic adults. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to progress further in their career.
About the role
The Senior Project Officer will support and work collaboratively with the OSS Project Manager, deputising in their absence. As part of your role, you will lead on supporting autistic adults to gain and retain employment and supervise the Project Officers at 21 High Street. As a supervisor, you will promote and embed a culture of responsibility and commitment to the role.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Supporting Individuals – You will manage a caseload of individuals who attend the One Stop Shop and make use of the services provided, in particular with employment support.
- Compliance and reporting – As part of the role, you will be required to complete reports with statistics related to the running of the One Stop Shop, identifying trends and updating records. You will also adhere to GDPR and adult safeguarding policies as required.
- Communicating with external stakeholders – This will include liaising with external agencies and job centres, along with local authorities. You will represent the One Stop Shop, developing future working partnerships.
- Collaborative Working – You will be responsible for setting up and leading team meetings within the One Stop Shop, promoting teamwork and engagement.
Skills and experience required
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in employment support and have a good knowledge of autism. This position requires an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
