Due to our continued improvement and development of our services we are looking for a Handyperson Supervisor, to ensure a safe environment for our customers and colleagues. As an experienced supervisor, you will have proven ability in the delivery of a high-quality repair and maintenance service, working closely with senior stakeholders and being the first point of contact, resulting in a βfirst time fixβ to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.
You will have DIY and maintenance skills to carry out reactive repairs including, but not restricted to, joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating, plasterwork and gardening. You will be positive, proactive and committed to providing an efficient and safe service.
The successful candidate will have proven ability in supervising sub-contractors and reviewing standard of works and ensuring that the service is delivered to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with the Business Support Manager and Housing Services Manager, to ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant risk assessments and training and all paperwork is submitted in a timely manner. You will have a thorough working knowledge of undertaking work in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and correct and proper use of all mechanical and non-mechanical equipment including fleet vehicles, tools, work wear, PPE and other relevant equipment.
The post holder will be able to evidence their experience of building and maintenance work and have the ability to undertake manual handling duties and demonstrate good customer-facing skills. You will have a full UK driving licence and a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Maintenance Operations PAT testing. (multi-skills work activities associated with core trade).
