A vacancy has arisen for a Casual Waking Night Support Worker to be based within our respite service for autistic adults in Worksop. Experience in working with people with autism or learning disabilities would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • The Waking Night Support Worker will be responsible for the welfare and security of the service users and building through the night.
  • The successful applicant will need to liaise with care staff and contact the on-call manager during the night should the necessity occur.
  • Other responsibilities include laundry work, general caretaking duties, cleaning and domestic duties, and preparing breakfast.
  • The role provides holistic support including personal care, medication administration, integration into the local community and managing anxieties that may manifest as distressing behaviour.

No experience is necessary as full training is provided.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for someone who has the right attitude, shares our values, and is willing to develop their skills. Previous experience as a support worker, care assistant, nursery assistant, personal care assistant or in NHS, health care or social care is beneficial but not required.
