Job Overview:

Are you looking to expand your skills and work in a multi-disciplinary team in a charity run autism specialist non-maintained school based in Braithwell, Doncaster? We are expanding the team and are looking for an empathic, creative and skilled band 6 speech and language therapist, with relevant experience working with children and young people with Autism and learning disabilities, to join us at Sutherland House School, part of Autism East Midlands.

Main Duties:

You will work as part of the wider Clinical team in meeting the needs of our students through direct and indirect work as appropriate. We work with and alongside teaching staff in order to support students in meeting their EHCP outcomes, using person centred and PBS approaches. As a core part of the school team you will also contribute to staff training, environmental supports and MDT meetings. The therapists at school currently utilise a range of approaches to meet the needs of our students. These include Lego Therapy, intensive interaction, attention autism, talking mats and PECS.
