Are you committed and passionate about SEN Education? We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team, who will be able to organise and lead on independent living interventions for an identified cohort of our pupils, supporting their learning and progress to accelerate. If you enjoy using your initiative and knowledge to plan personalised and impactful learning experiences, this is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children and young people we work with.

Sutherland House School is a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school is located in the heart of the Creative Quarter in the City Centre.

We offer small class groups, high staffing ratios and excellent opportunities for training and continued professional development.

As a member of the teaching team, supporting by delivering learning interventions, you will play a critical role in the educational progress of pupils. As part of this role, you will plan and deliver interventions in partnership with class teams, parents/carers and the school leadership team.

You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the wider organisation and it is essential positive communication is maintained between all stakeholders within the school.
