Sutherland House School is a non-maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school prides itself on creating personalised learning opportunities with a vision for reaching potential for each individual pupil. We offer small class groups, favourable staffing levels and excellent opportunities for training and professional development. The school has an Ofsted rating of Good. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Previous experience with autistic pupils or teaching in an additional need’s environment is desirable however full training and support will be given. As part of a supportive staff team, you will have a passion for improving the lives for autistic pupils and their families. You will have a commitment to planning and delivering engaging lessons and you will engage with a wide range of professionals, including therapists to ensure all pupils are reaching their full potential.
