Overview
Part-Time: 24 hours per week (extra hours on an ad-hoc basis optional). Location 1: South East England & London. Location 2: West Central Scotland (Edinburgh & Glasgow). Salary: £27,497.60 pro rata.
Autism Dogs Charity is a nationally accredited programme providing assistance dogs trained specifically to support autistic individuals. We’re led by a multidisciplinary team, including autistic professionals, and we are committed to offering inclusive, respectful, and autism-informed care.
We are looking for compassionate and knowledgeable dog training specialists to join our team. This role involves supporting around six families per session at a pre-arranged, paid venue for around 4-6 days per month.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic obedience and social skills in line with the Good Citizen Dog Training Awards.
- Model appropriate behaviour around other dogs, basic recall, and family-friendly handling; basic canine first aid.
- Submit written weekly updates and video reports.
- Attend a monthly Zoom meeting with the main trainer team.
