Summary Of Essential Job Functions
The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed in order to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job. Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time.
- Required to run a variety of security print presses on differing operational lines, including:
- Run Lithographic wet offset printing press
- Make Ready jobs to a quality standard for production
- Run Print Press
- Rotary presses to run reel to reel or stack formats
- Several presses as well as lithographic also have inline flexographic units
- All presses have holographic application units which also runs inline
Job roles would include:
- Set up and prepare machines for production
- Operate the production lines to the KPI’s of waste, time efficiencies and quality
- Ability to perform reasonable levels of maintenance when required
- Work within and to all SPS quality and regulatory standards
- Work as part of a team both on the press and as part of a specific shift team
Essentials
- 5 GCSE’s at grade 3 or above (including Maths and English) or the equivalent
- Manufacturing experience
- Clean police record
- Print experience

- Experience in rotary presses
- Print qualifications
WORKING HOURS
The company runs a series of different shift patterns around 24/5 week with occasional overtime required on a weekend. A 2-shift working pattern of earlies/lates is expected with potential to move to a 3-shift pattern to include nightshift.
