JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Solutions Director owns the strategy, development, and commercial success of products and solutions across the Currency and Secure Documents sectors. This hybrid role combines end-to-end product lifecycle management with commercial accountability, ensuring that Authentix’s solutions not only meet customer and market needs but also deliver strong business value. The role requires close collaboration with customers, internal product/R&D/operations teams, and commercial functions to define, position, and deliver differentiated solutions.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Product Management

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned products and solutions, from concept through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and communicate the product roadmap, balancing customer input, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Gather, analyze, and translate customer and market requirements into clear product specifications.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements, maintaining a backlog aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer to drive usability, quality, and customer experience.
  • Monitor product performance, adoption, and ROI, defining KPIs and making recommendations for enhancements or retirements.

Commercial Management

  • Own the commercial strategy for assigned products, including pricing, margin optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Support pre-sales and bid activity, providing technical input for proposals, tenders, and solution positioning.
  • Work with sales and business development to identify and capture upsell, cross-sell, and bundling opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new product investment or enhancement, ensuring alignment with financial and strategic objectives.
  • Act as a key relationship manager for priority accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Support executive decision-making with market intelligence, competitor analysis, and commercial insights.

  • External: Central banks, issuing authorities, secure document printers, key customer accounts.
  • Internal: Product Management, R&D, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Commercial (Sales & BD), Marketing, Finance, Executive Leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Minimum 10 years in a customer facing, product and/or technical role within the currency, secure document, or high-security printing sectors.
  • Proven experience delivering or supporting complex technical solutions in highly regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of banknote or secure document products, including design, production, and authentication methods.
  • Experience supporting sales processes, tenders, and solution development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Background in product management, technical sales, or solution engineering.
  • Familiarity with authentication technologies, overt/covert security features, or detection systems.
  • Degree in engineering, science, design, or a related technical field is an advantage.
