Pipeline-Building AE Role for Advanced Manufacturing Software. Our core team collaboration happens heavily in the Eastern Time zone/GMT or BST. Because of this, we are currently only accepting applicants in EST, CST, and MST.

About Authentise: Authentise builds software for advanced manufacturing and engineering teams. Our core platform, Flows, helps manufacturers manage complex production workflows, especially in additive manufacturing and high-mix environments. We’re also building next-generation AI-powered engineering tools that help teams capture context, automate documentation, and improve decision-making across the digital thread. We’ve been building manufacturing software for 14 years and already have an established commercial foundation across sales, marketing, and leadership. Now we’re looking for someone to help increase pace, build a repeatable pipeline, and grow into a key commercial leader.

The Role: We're looking for someone who can help us create and scale a repeatable sales motion for advanced manufacturing software. This is a role for a commercially-minded builder: someone who can generate opportunities, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and move deals from initial outreach through close.

The strongest candidates will typically come from one of two backgrounds:

  • Option 1: Sales Professional - You have experience selling B2B software, technical products, engineering services, or industrial solutions. You've built pipeline through outbound activity, managed opportunities through long buying cycles, and know how to keep momentum in complex deals.
  • Option 2: Commercially-Minded Engineer - You started in engineering, manufacturing, or a technical discipline but discovered that you enjoy customer interaction, coordination, business development, and driving projects forward. You've successfully shepherded projects or commercial opportunities across multiple stakeholders and want to move deeper into a customer-facing commercial role.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and manage target account lists
  • Generate opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, events, and account-based campaigns
  • Conduct discovery conversations with manufacturing and engineering leaders
  • Understand customer challenges and connect them to business value
  • Coordinate demonstrations, proposals, and commercial discussions
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle
  • Build relationships with multiple stakeholders across customer organizations
  • Maintain CRM discipline and accurate forecasting
  • Help refine messaging, positioning, and repeatable sales processes
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve prospecting, research, and workflow efficiency

What We're Looking For:

  • Required:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive opportunities forward and keep complex initiatives moving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence initiating conversations with senior prospects
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • High level of personal ownership and self-motivation
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid iteration
  • Strongly Preferred:
  • Experience carrying a quota or managing commercial opportunities
  • Experience selling B2B software, technical solutions, industrial products, or engineering services
  • Experience managing long or multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, or additive manufacturing
  • Helpful but Not Required:
  • Engineering or manufacturing background
  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay, ChatGPT, Zapier, or similar tools
  • Experience using AI tools to improve sales productivity

Who Will Thrive Here: This role is likely a fit if:

  • You've consistently created your own opportunities rather than relying entirely on inbound leads.
  • You've successfully guided deals, projects, or customer engagements through multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • You enjoy building processes rather than inheriting them.
  • You're energized by outreach, relationship-building, and commercial problem-solving.

This role is probably not a fit for someone seeking a purely technical engineering position or a highly structured enterprise sales environment with a large inbound lead flow.

Compensation: Expected base salary: UK: £35k–£60k or local equivalent in the US. Compensation includes:

  • Base salary
  • Milestone bonuses tied to pipeline and proposals
  • Commission on closed deals
  • Equity/options for the right candidate

Because our sales cycles are long, first-year compensation is designed around metrics you can directly influence — not just closed revenue.

Location: Remote role for candidates based in the UK or US. You should be comfortable working with distributed teams and global manufacturing customers across North America and Europe.

How to Apply: Send us:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile
  • A short note on why this role fits you
  • One example of a cold LinkedIn message you’d send to a manufacturing leader
  • One example of a sales, outbound, or automation workflow you’ve improved (or would improve)

No long cover letter needed.
