Quantity Surveyor Preston £45k- £50k Development and Construction Company We are proud to be partnered with a unique, Developer owned Contractor, to find a Quantity Surveyor to join their construction delivery team. This Contractor is a privately owned family run business with massive projects, solid financial backing working on schemes, which includes a 5* Luxury Hotel. We are looking for a QS with a proven track record in large commercial builds, ideally in hotel development. The successful applicant will report to the Commercial Director who will provide ongoing support. This is the first of a number of new projects the Company is to undertake and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on further responsibility as the Company expands. Key duties will include: Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties. Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the Company procedures and processes. Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client Responsibility for sub-contractor procurement, orders, valuations, and final accounts. Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost value reconciliations. Preparation and agreement to subcontractors of contra-charge claims. To maintain quality control procedures To attend site and pre-contract meetings, working closely with the Design team to assist in the success of the project. Qualifications and Training required: A degree/equivalent qualification (HNC/HND) Have at least five years experience in the Senior Surveyor role Have experience on similar projects Hold a full Drivers Licence Be willing to travel to/be based on site.
