The Licensing Assistant supports the BD Directors in the growth and development of the department. This abroad role involves creatively working to increase business opportunities for Iconic Images, be it via traditional image licensing, third‑party rights clearance, or the design and manufacture of own‑brand products.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Assist BD Directors in all areas of business development.
- Identify new business opportunities and assist BD Directors to reach out and convert.
- Manage existing accounts to drive new business and revenue.
- Creating bespoke lightboxes in response to licensing briefs.
- Designing decks and pitching to potential licensees.
- Continually researching new avenues of business for all archives.
- Pitch and liaise with Authentic BD teams globally.
- Attend weekly BD meetings.
- Coordinate team calls with potential partners.
- Reply to initial inbound requests.
Marketing
- Research and plan monthly marketing campaigns and oversee the design and execution of each campaign via website, Mailchimp and social media.
- Design and create bespoke lightboxes in response to licensing briefs and marketing opportunities.
- Maintain and update mailing lists.
- Attend trade shows and other relevant events to create new licensing opportunities and strengthen the industry presence of Iconic Images.
- Liaise with Social Media manager to coordinate social coverage with product / deal launches.
Legal
- Work alongside BD Directors to manage IP policies and action copyright infringements.
- Create and submit legal request forms for contracts.
- Create and submit CS & EA forms.
- Assist BD Directors in the negotiation, review, and development of new contracts with ABG legal.
Administrative
- Monitor and update Salesforce, PTP, and any other internal tracking spreadsheets on a daily/weekly basis.
- Create and submit Purchase Orders to finance.
- Update internal Licensing finance tracker.
Third Party Management
- Maintain relationships with key third‑party rights holders.
- Outreach to new third‑party rights holders to bring potential opportunities.
- Continually brainstorm ideas for third‑party rights images to bring to market.
Must Haves
- A passion for business development and a desire to gain more exposure within the creative industry.
- Independent and proactive thinker with a great interest in photography and/or music/film/fashion.
- Ambitious and results driven, well organized and a great communicator.
- Ideally familiar with the Adobe Suite and a proficient user of Excel.
