Experienced Flexographic Printer at Autajon Labels Royston: We are an award-winning label printing company, established in 1984 as Royston Labels Ltd, and joined the Autajon Group in 2023. We pride ourselves on developing high-end, top-quality labels for our clients in the Cosmetics & Toiletries, Health & Nutrition, Drinks, and Pharma industries. We use our in-depth knowledge of traditional & digital print technologies, combined with innovative embellishments, while incorporating sustainability as a priority focus in our entire process.
Based in Royston, near Cambridge, with a team of 75 employees, we aim to provide a quality service, ensuring the skills, craftsmanship & care required in every part of our manufacturing process to create beautiful, impactful labels.
Working Hours: No Nights, No Weekends, No Bank Holidays. 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 (Weekly Rotating).
Responsibilities:
- Running multi-colour flexo presses.
- Responsibility for quality, efficiency and good housekeeping.
- Able to troubleshoot to solve issues with machinery or print quality.
- Relaying information through the Specification sheet on how jobs are produced and what settings are required to repeat the process.
- Daily productivity responsibilities, ensuring that your schedule and targets are achieved.
- Being a team player with effective communication skills.
- Ensuring excellent attention to detail and following detailed processes and procedures.
- Working with all departments to ensure orders are complete On Time In Full (OTIF).
- Working with the Production Manager to continually improve quality, processes and production efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Flexographic printing experience, particularly printing labels and packaging.
- Experience of embellishments such as rotary screen, hot foil, cold foil, and embossing.
- Experience of Nilpeter Servo Press, Mark Andy, MPS or similar.
- An enthusiasm to work as part of a team, but also be able to use your initiative to work independently.
- Ability to maintain a high level of consistency and reliability, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- An appreciation and understanding that detail and quality is EVERYTHING when it comes to labels.
- Someone who takes pride in their presentation, demonstrating tidiness and organisational skills.
