We have created a new seat in our Group Risk & Compliance International (second line) team, looking for a Senior Manager, Regulatory Governance & Assurance to play a critical role in strengthening regulatory change, monitoring, reporting and assurance across our international business.
The opportunity: Reporting to the Head of Group Risk & Compliance, International (SMF 16) this senior role will coordinate regulatory change, policy and obligation management, monitoring, reporting and assurance across AustralianSuper's international entities in the UK, US and China. You'll provide expert regulatory insight, lead regulatory change, coordinate across the team and partner closely with senior stakeholders to ensure a strong, forward‑looking Compliance discipline across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead international regulatory change management, including horizon scanning and board-level reporting
- Drive International policy governance, coordinating reviews and alignment with Group and Corporate Legal
- Design and oversee the International Compliance Monitoring Program, including thematic reviews and remediation tracking
- Provide expert advice on regulatory obligations, controls and assurance frameworks
- Act as central point of contact for internal audits and other reviews
- Support and uplift capability through the Governance Risk & Compliance system governance, training and quality assurance
- Contribute as a senior leader within Group Risk & Compliance, embedding a strong Members First culture
About you
You're a seasoned regulatory compliance professional with strong experience in complex, regulated financial services environments. You're comfortable operating at senior levels, influencing outcomes, and translating regulation into practical, effective risk & Compliance frameworks.
You’ll bring
- Experience in Occupational Pension Schemes or FCA-regulated investment firms
- Deep knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks
- Strong expertise in compliance management, regulatory interpretation and assurance
- Experience working with GRC systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to engage, influence and partner with senior stakeholders
- Hold an accreditation in Compliance or be willing to obtain one after joining the Fund.
This position is based at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio, with a hybrid work schedule.
