- Support the MLRO and senior management in maintaining up‑to‑date financial crime and market abuse risk assessments aligned with UK regulatory expectations.
- Lead or contribute to thematic reviews, deep dives, and trend analysis to identify emerging risks and control weaknesses.
- Advise the business on financial crime considerations relating to new products, markets, counterparties, and changes in trading activity.
- Support regulatory engagement, internal audits, and assurance activity, including coordinating responses and delivering agreed actions.
- Draft, maintain, and enhance financial crime and market abuse policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide oversight and challenge of first‑line activities such as customer due diligence and sanctions screening.
- Produce clear and concise management information for committees, senior management, and the Board.
- Support the design and delivery of financial crime and market abuse training, including induction, refresher, and targeted risk‑based sessions.
What You’ll Bring: You are a confident, analytical compliance professional who enjoys working close to the business while maintaining strong regulatory judgement. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

- Sound knowledge of UK financial crime regulation, FCA expectations, and market abuse requirements.
- Experience drafting or contributing to financial crime and market abuse policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyse complex information, exercise sound judgement, and make proportionate risk‑based recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and committees.
- A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with the confidence to challenge constructively.
