We are a global investment leader committed to delivering better outcomes for millions of members. If you’re someone who thrives in a collaborative, forward‐thinking environment and wants to help shape the future of investment data enablement, this could be the perfect opportunity to make your mark in our growing London office.

At AustralianSuper, we’re more than a super fund—we’re a purpose‐driven organisation helping members achieve their best financial position in retirement. As we expand our global footprint, we’re seeking an experienced and passionate Product Owner to join our Investment Data Enablement team. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving data transformation and enabling high‐quality data delivery across our investment ecosystem.

The Role

As a Product Owner, you’ll ensure high‐quality, timely, and accurate investment data is delivered to the Investment Department and Analytical Insight Team. Working within our newly formed Data Services division, you will influence data acquisition, mastering, governance, and production processes—helping to uplift data management capability across the Fund.

You’ll collaborate with cross‐functional teams, guide junior analysts, and support the operationalisation of data governance standards across the organisation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges and enabling data‐driven decision‐making at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross‐functional collaboration to gather, validate, and translate business requirements across data acquisition, mastering, and production.
  • Establish and champion high standards for data quality, accuracy, lifecycle management, and governance.
  • Act as SME for IBOR hub schema design, configuration, and testing—providing guidance to production teams in BAU.
  • Lead fitness‐for‐purpose assessments of data sources to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors on the design, build, and integration of data pipelines; oversee technical validation efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Negotiate and define data packages—datasets, filters, transformations and SLAs—tailored to stakeholder requirements.
  • Support service level management and exception management processes, ensuring operational consistency.
  • Facilitate rules design and documentation across data acquisition, mastering, and production processes.
  • Contribute to data stewardship through metadata management and business term development.

Team Development & Change Management

  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in new data systems, platforms, and best‐practice processes.
  • Lead triage and prioritisation of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise data goals.
  • Promote continuous improvement through automation and process optimisation, including Power Automate workflows.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a seasoned investment data professional with a strong background in asset management or asset ownership. You bring deep experience with investment data systems, financial instruments, and data management practices, and you thrive in environments where you can influence, innovate, and lead.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience as a Product Owner for data management or aggregation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of IBOR/ABOR, financial instruments, and investment data structures.
  • Proficiency in Python (including API packages), SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Informatica, LUSID, and data warehouse/ETL concepts.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‐solving skills.

  • Flexible hybrid working
  • A supportive, inclusive culture
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • The chance to work with global teams to shape the fund’s data future
  • A competitive benefits package, including generous leave, retirement contributions, and health insurance
