Our Exposure Management team is responsible for
- Managing Equity and Fixed Income Transitions
- Monitoring and rebalancing asset and currency exposures to defined targets
- Implementing accurate and efficient asset allocation and active decisions
- Designing and implementing rebalancing strategies
- Making capital allocation decisions between physical and synthetic portfolios with different liquidity and strategic profiles.
- Your new role;
You and the team will be responsible for ensuring the Fund's portfolios remain aligned to defined targets through accurate, efficient implementation. Day‑to‑day, you will:
- Model and analyse asset and liquidity profiles and prepare trading recommendations to actively rebalance positions.
- Monitor, review and analyse overlay portfolios versus mandate objectives and recommend rebalancing & capital allocation actions.
- Manage exposures and risks arising from transitions and manager funding activities
- Create trade instructions aligned to mandates.
- Collaborate broadly with Asset Allocation, Asset Class and Cash teams, Dealing, Operations and external managers to optimise implementation efficiency.
- Contribute to tax awareness across Investments by understanding instrument tax treatment and impacts of capital movements.
- Undertake projects and memos on rebalancing strategies, new instruments and self‑guided research
- Review and analyse index portfolios.
- Mentor, supervise, and support junior Colleagues around the department.
This role is a regulated position under FCA/SMCR, and is based on site at London King's Cross Estate, one of the core assets of the Fund's global portfolio.
What you'll need
- Relevant degree/qualifications in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field.
- Strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets and instruments - particularly futures, currency and derivatives.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration and organisation skills; proactive, with outstanding attention to detail.
- Quantitative and modelling strength; Python an advantage. Advanced Excel/macros.
- Willingness to ask questions and speak up; learning focus and contribution to team initiatives.
• Experience with BRS Aladdin is a bonus!
- Good understanding of portfolio construction and capital management principles.
- CFA (or similar) accreditation would be highly desired.
