Position Overview

Corporate Title: Associate

You will join Investment Banking Coverage as an Associate level investment banker and have initiative and integrity, strong communication skills, commitment, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of M&A, Leverage Finance and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions with clients who are Financial Institutions.
  • Supporting wider FIG team in the coverage effort of key coverage accounts.
  • Conducting FIG sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling.
  • In both origination and execution projects, taking responsibility to communicate with team members and senior investment bankers.
  • Utilise your sector knowledge to guide production of materials presented to FIG clients and assisting Country and Product bankers on opportunities.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Material previous full time working experience in corporate finance and in FIG, ideally in investment banking or advisory boutiques.
  • Strong analytical approach combined with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • High levels of initiative and ingenuity, high proactivity levels and drive.
  • Effective organisational skills, ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams.
  • Ability to drive and influence senior, cross-functional and cross-regional deal teams, interfacing with multiple business partners across business lines and regions.
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and successfully navigate a large, matrix-based organisation.
