The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, model, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture.
Within Model Risk Management, the Governance and Control team is responsible for group level framework design, portfolio model risk assessment and secretariat of model risk governance forums and processes. As Model Risk Framework lead, you will have responsibility of ensuring that the Model Risk framework is appropriate for the Bank

Your Key Responsibilities

  • In the Model Risk Framework Lead role, you will ensure that the Policy, Procedure and associated documents meet regulatory standards, aligned with best practice and comply with the Banks internal Governance requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both within the function and with external areas including Model Developers and Model Users to incorporate feedback into the Framework design and ensure practical decision making.
  • Represent the department across different Bank initiatives including Bank wide Governance Fora
  • Work with stakeholders and IT to ensure processes are efficiently aligned and controls clearly articulated and tracked.
  • Ad-hoc projects, supporting model risk initiatives such as controls optimization or stakeholder training and representing Model Risk in stakeholder or regulatory initiatives.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in the financial industry or consulting
  • Experience and understanding of risk management governance with experience of model risk or the use of models
  • Highly analytical and structured thinking with proven ability to solve specific problems solely and as part of a team
  • Able to drive initiatives and design conceptual controls
