The Kannon Middle Office (KMO) team works in partnership with Trading, Global Strategic Analytics (GSA), Finance and Operations to facilitate the delivery of accurate and complete trader RPL on the Banks strategic valuation platform, for the Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) business. The team works to ensure technical issues impacting intraday trade population and end of day RPL pricing are substantiated and or solved. This is a strategic group with a business operations focus, we look to ensure the integrity of the trade processing whilst controlling complexities and driving automation, where you will be able to add real value as a business partner.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Combine your knowledge of trade lifecycle events, profit & Loss (P&L) pricing, and risk management to help support and define our future state Kannon unified platform.
  • Provide support to trading by monitoring intraday risk in Kannon, which may include troubleshooting problems arising on an ad-hoc basis or reacting to event driven demands.
  • Initiate solutions to problems by leveraging expertise available and using knowledge of the system flows and pricing.
  • Take part in the Book of Work prioritisation and planning initiatives within the wider team.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Strong background in business operations, middle office, or finance, with a solid understanding of risk and P&L concepts.
  • Proficient in trade bookings for fixed-income instruments and their valuation.
  • Ability to detect and trouble-shoot issues.
  • Analytical and proactive thinking.
  • Be able to build & maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines under time pressure and to detect and trouble-shoot issues with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience of delivering change or improvements to processes.
  • Educated to bachelors degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience with a concentration in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accountancy or Banking.
