The role
As part of a team of experienced aged care professionals, your role will involve visiting aged care facilities to assess residents using the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) assessment tool. This position will be located in or close to Horsham or Stawell and will undertake AN-ACC assessments at residential aged care homes across the Grampians aged care planning region (ACPR) on behalf of the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. These visits require travel within the Grampians ACPR with the potential for overnight stays for more remote facilities. Comprehensive training and support will be provided (no prior knowledge of the AN-ACC assessment tool is required). Applicants who have been trained as AN-ACC assessors or currently work as AN-ACC assessors will be considered favourably.
On offer
- Highly attractive salary – $107,201 salary p.a. + 12% super (FTE)
- Part-time position (0.4 FTE / 2 days per week)
- Program hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm
- Full training provided in the use and application of the new assessment tool
- All technical equipment including laptop and phone
- Reimbursement of travel expenses
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a RN, Physio or OT in the aged care sector
- Current, general, unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Valid driver's licence and reliable car
- Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing environment or circumstances
- Willingness to travel to regional/remote facilities
- Able to work unsupervised within a diverse and widely located team
- Meet all Department of Health, Disability and Ageing Vaccination requirements
