About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Wingfield. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. This is a casual opportunity paying $40.83 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus 12% super. If you are scheduled to start at 3am there is an additional uplift of 30%. You’ll be using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service. Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road. Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse. Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper, electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.

About you

You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job. You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive. You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected. If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
