About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our HR Truck Driver with forklift in our Startrack Bulk Team – Perth Airport, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
Tasks include a combination of forklift deliveries, tail gate deliveries and hands onload of deliveries and pick ups (averaging between 8-30 a day).
This permanent full time role works Monday to Friday from approximately 7.30am – 5pm (flexibility required). The rate of pay is currently $32.08 per hour plus 12% super (rate increase coming soon), plus overtime rates after 7.6hrs and a $50/week location allowance.
You’ll be
- Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility.
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.
About you
You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
- Hold an unrestricted HR vehicle license and forklift licence.
- Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck (up to 30kg)
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
- Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less.
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national criminal history checks.
