As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you’ll play an important part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience. Every year, around one million customers visit our Australia Post Offices. Our retail teams ensure each experience is positive, supported by welcoming colleagues, ongoing training, and career development opportunities.
Relief locations include Randwick, St Paul’s, Matraville, Maroubra, Kingsford, and Coogee. Working 25 hours per week, from 12 PM to 5 PM. Pay rate is $27.48/hour, increasing to $29.37/hour after approximately 3 months, plus 12% Superannuation.
You’ll be:
- Performing customer sales and service transactions.
- Managing high-value transactions accurately (cash, cheques, credit cards, EFTPOS).
- Conducting identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.
- Promoting products and services through up-selling, cross-selling, merchandising, and promotional activities.
- Assisting customers with mail lodgements and related costs.
- Building relationships by understanding customer needs.
- Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

- Ability to lift up to 16 kg of mail regularly and stand for your shift.
