About the opportunity
As the Processing Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery operations across two processing sites, with a strong focus on people leadership, performance, and safe, reliable execution. You’ll be responsible for building engaged, high‑performing teams and ensuring operational standards are consistently met across every shift.
This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement across safety, service, cost, and productivity, while modelling a strong One Team culture aligned to Australia Post’s Shared Values. You’ll actively support change initiatives and broader network priorities, working collaboratively to improve outcomes across the operation.
You’ll balance operational delivery with strategic thinking, leading your teams through change while maintaining a strong focus on people, performance, and safety.
What you’ll deliver with us
You’ll lead safe, efficient, and customer‑focused processing operations across two sites, building high‑performing teams while driving productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in delivering network efficiency initiatives, optimising labour, assets, and workflows to achieve strong service outcomes.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations with a strong focus on safety, people leadership, and reliable service delivery
- Drive productivity, cost efficiencies, and continuous improvement through effective planning, Lean practices, and stakeholder collaboration
- Build engaged teams and strong partnerships with employees, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver a consistent, customer‑centric experience
About you
You’re an experienced operational leader who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments and knows how to lead people through change while delivering strong commercial outcomes. You bring sound business judgement, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to navigate industrial and organisational complexity.
- Proven experience leading large operational teams and delivering operational and cultural change in complex environments
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to plan, analyse, and drive cost and performance improvements
- Highly developed stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, including experience working with unions and managing industrial matters
- Strong understanding of safety, HR, and industrial relations frameworks, with a commitment to wellbeing and compliance
- Knowledge of large‑scale processing or logistics operations, with the ability to work across planning, performance, and delivery networks
