About the opportunity
We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team at StarTrack Wingfield. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. This is a casual opportunity paying $40.83 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus 12% super. If you are scheduled to start at 3am there is an additional uplift of 30%.
You’ll be:
- Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
- Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
- Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
- Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper, electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.
About you
- You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job.
- You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive.
- You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
- If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse.
