About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our unrestricted MR Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted StarTrack Wingfield based business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that! Initially a casual opportunity, this opportunity pays $41.66/hr plus 12% super (paid weekly), working full days between Mon-Fri. Opportunities for permanency post the Christmas season.
You’ll be:
- Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility with a lifting capacity of 30kg.
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.
About you
You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to:
- Hold an unrestricted MR license.
- Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck of a lifting up to 30kg.
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
- Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
