About the Role
As a Senior Officer in the Lending Operations, Documentation and Agency team, your focus will be on the Documentation process rather than Lending Administration. You will be responsible for reviewing draft documents (both Bilateral and Syndicated) and ensuring that the operational terms, Sanctions clauses, and other agreement terms meet the bank’s requirements.
You will seek internal approvals and manage interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of documents and the completion of the Conditions Precedent (CP) process.
Your ongoing documentation responsibilities will include handling waiver requests, consent requests, extension requests, and secondary trades.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Officer, Lending Operations, Documentation and Agency, you will interact with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders to coordinate among the Group Capability and in-country teams to deliver loan fulfillment and life cycle management services. Your main accountabilities will include:
- Reviewing draft facility agreements, legal opinions, transfer agreements, and amendments, providing comments to stakeholders.
- Coordinating documentation with customers, agent banks, and internal legal, LS&E, frontline business areas, financial crime, and credit risk.
- Managing ad hoc documentation-related queries from internal stakeholders, borrowers, and agents.
- Controlling the execution and signing and completion of the documentation and the Condition Precedent (CP) satisfaction stage, ensuring compliance with ANZ’s internal approvals and requirements.
- Lodging collateral documentation in the bank’s system.
- Managing external legal invoicing.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Experience in preparing, facilitating, and managing new and ongoing facility documentation.
- Trade and loan facility documentation with good product familiarity and structuring awareness.
- Excellent knowledge of industry standards relating to documentation and credit practices, including extensive knowledge of Loan Market Association (LMA) facility documentation.
- Understanding of the operational process and mechanics of loan processing.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to interface and negotiate with clients.
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting issues professionally.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Loan IQ.
