Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Legal Clerk with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the UK legal system. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation, alongside proven experience supporting financial or regulatory matters. This role is critical in ensuring smooth legal operations and accurate record-keeping, while also offering support across a variety of legal and financial functions.

ROLE:

  • Drafting, proofreading, and managing legal documents and correspondence
  • Conducting legal research and preparing summaries or reports as required
  • Managing case files, ensuring they are up-to-date, well-organised, and compliant with legal standards
  • Supporting solicitors and legal teams in preparing for hearings, meetings, and negotiations
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and financial institutions as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions, contracts, and financial documentation
  • Assisting in compliance and regulatory reporting tasks
  • Handling confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism

ESSENTIALS:

  • Having a minimum 5 years' experience as a legal clerk or in a similar legal support role within the UK
  • Possessing a solid understanding of UK legal systems, procedures, and terminology
  • Demonstrating experience working with legal documentation and financial or legal compliance matters
  • Showing strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Communicating with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Being proficient in MS Office and legal case management systems
  • Working independently and managing multiple priorities
