CAREER ADMINISTRATOR ROLE:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for student, employer and stakeholder enquiries, resolving issues and coordinating responses through multiple channels.
  • Managing high-volume appointment scheduling, diary coordination and resource allocation for Careers Consultants, workshops, webinars and small group sessions.
  • Coordinating careers events and programmes, including room bookings, catering, student communications and access to materials.
  • Supporting recruitment, membership administration and engagement activities for Career Club initiatives and student community platforms.
  • Providing administrative and diary management support to the Executive Director of Careers and wider leadership team.
  • Managing communications through FreshDesk, careers newsletters and student platforms, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing.
  • Overseeing reception, facilities, stock management and meeting logistics to support smooth day-to-day careers service operations.

CAREER ADMINISTRATOR ESSENTIALS:

  • Holding a degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrating previous experience in office administration or reception, ideally within higher education.
  • Providing front-line support within customer-focused environments.
  • Utilising Virtual Learning Environments, timetabling platforms and e-booking systems.
  • Building strong relationships with students and staff to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Utilising Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Delivering customer-focused support through a flexible, versatile and helpful approach.
