We are working with a leading independent school that is seeking a dynamic and experienced School Exams Officer to support with their busy exam season. This is a hands-on, largely independent role offering the opportunity to work in a passionate and fast-paced environment. Required through to Summer 2026 with the potential to extend.

EXAMS OFFICER ROLE:

  • Coordinating the scheduling and administration of all internal and external examinations, including preparing timetables, room allocations, and seating plans.
  • Liaising with exam boards, staff, students, and parents to ensure accurate entries, timely communication, and smooth delivery of assessment activities.
  • Supporting the running of exam days, organising invigilators, overseeing exam conditions, and addressing issues in line with JCQ regulations.
  • Handling and securely storing confidential examination materials, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and school procedures.
  • Managing the processing and distribution of exam results, checking accuracy, assisting with post-results services, and providing data for internal reporting.

EXAMS OFFICER ESSENTIALS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of school exams administration experience.
  • Strong Excel and core administration skills.
  • Experience managing examinations.
  • Current DBS preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work in the office 5 days a week.
  • Working knowledge of iSams is beneficial.
