The Client
Our client is a highly regarded insurance practice which handles the full spectrum of property damage claims. Our client’s team operates from four offices across the country and is busier than ever. Presently, they are recruiting for several opportunities in their Manchester team. The team act for a number of composite insurers and carry out all kinds of property damage work, including complex liability claims and subrogated recoveries arising from the full range of insurable risks. The team are also known for handling policy coverage disputes.
The Role
Our client wishes to recruit an experienced lawyer to handle their own caseload (mostly complex defendant matters emanating from various insurable risks) and work closely with a well regarded Partner.
Key Requirements
- Previous commercial insurance/commercial litigation experience (5+ PQE)
- An ability to prioritise workload
- An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and precise reports
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work with case management systems
- The personal skills to deal with major and expensive litigation, including liaising with senior claims handlers
- Legal qualification (solicitor/FCILEx)
Desirable
- willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole
- Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise)
