p strong The Client: /strong /p p Our client is a large commercial practice known for its work across all premium insurance lines, including professional indemnity. The Manchester office has long played a key part in our client’s strategy to grow their insurance offering across the regions and that is set to continue. /p p br /p p The team advise on all kinds of traditional professional indemnity claims, as well as claims against construction professionals and those working in emerging professions. They also advise on coverage. /p p br /p p The team have a strong client list, including both insurance and corporate clients, and have achieved significant growth in recent years. /p p br /p p strong The Role: /strong /p p In line with our clients succession plans, the partners wish to recruit a highly experienced lawyer to work closely with them on lawyers liability claims and, potentially, other traditional professional indemnity claims. /p p br /p p The role will involve running a caseload of professional indemnity claims, supervising junior lawyers and playing a leading role in supporting the team’s ever-growing client base. /p p br /p p A client following is not required but would be advantageous. /p p br /p p strong Key Requirements: /strong /p p Previous professional indemnity experience (8+ PQE) /p p An ability to prioritise workload /p p An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports /p p Ability to pay attention to detail /p p Ability to work with case management systems /p p The personal skills to deal with such work as major and expensive litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers /p p Legal qualification required – solicitor/FCILEx /p p br /p p strong Desirable: /strong /p p Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole. /p p Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise). /p
