Our client is an in-house law firm that provides legal services to its policyholders and has extensive experience of dealing with often complex, high value claims.
As part of continued growth, the team in London is looking to recruit an experienced Professional Negligence Lawyer (5+PQE) to join as a Senior Fee Earner.
In this role, you will manage your own caseload of professional indemnity claims across a range of professionals.
The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in professional negligence, preferably with exposure to defendant insurance work, and be capable of managing their own caseload with minimal oversight.
The
Role: Litigating cases to verdict while demonstrating effective trial skills and techniques.
Independently managing a caseload from case inception through to trial or resolution.
Working under the guidance of the Head of Legal Practice in litigating complex and high-exposure cases.
Conducting legal research as needed and supervise delegated research projects for Paralegals and Legal Secretaries.
Drafting interim motions, briefs, disclosure requests, and other court documents independently.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Key
Requirements: Experience in insurance litigation is highly desired.
Experience with professional indemnity and financial risks cases is preferred.
