They offer long-term progression and advisory work from day one, including trainees, ensuring high staff retention, coupled with a strong and well-rounded leadership team. Audit Assistant Manager responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the planning and execution of audit engagements across a varied client base
- Reviewing statutory financial statements and accompanying working papers
- Managing a mixed portfolio of clients, organising the portfolio and assignments from start to finish
- Building and maintaining trusted client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Supporting the management of the team, including workload planning and performance appraisals
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will:
- Be ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Have over 18 months’ post-qualified experience of leading audits from planning to completion
- Be experienced in managing a small portfolio of clients
- Demonstrate the ability to supervise and develop a team of staff
- Have strong experience working under UK GAAP, IFRS exposure would be a bonus
