Responsibilities
- Manage and lead an Accountancy team, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of comprehensive compliance and advisory services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses with average turnovers ranging from £2 million to £15 million.
- Actively recruit, coach, and mentor junior team members into accomplished, commercial business advisors.
- Work closely with Partners to drive business development, expand regional market share, and cross-sell specialist firm services.
- Monitor accounting marketplace developments to maintain modern, efficient, and highly competitive service delivery.
As an Accountancy Manager you will:
- Review management & financial accounts, VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and digital cloud accounting solutions.
- Build strong relationships with local business networks and prospective clients across the Midlands market.
- Lead team performance reviews, personal development plans, and technical training initiatives.
- Maintain oversight of portfolio profitability, job recovery rates, and service efficiency.
- Collaborate directly with Partners on strategic client advisory projects and cloud accounting transformations.
