Responsibilities
- Produce accurate management accounts independently, complete with robust reconciliations and insightful commentary.
- Complete VAT returns and working papers confidently, managing complex accounting items and supporting VAT/option-to-tax applications.
- Prepare year-end and statutory accounts end-to-end in full compliance with current accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Handle corporation tax computations for straightforward cases and provide robust support on more complex corporate tax matters.
- Identify how business changes impact taxation, flagging required actions such as director loan account repayments (s455), P11D/benefit-in-kind issues, and subsidiary incorporations.
- Utilize advanced accounting and data analysis software to automate workflows, troubleshoot system issues, and streamline client delivery.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, building trusted relationships, handling queries professionally, and tailoring deliverables to expectations.
As an Accounts & Business Services Senior you will:
- Consistently deliver accurate, well-documented accounting work on schedule while maintaining up-to-date timesheets and WIP.
- Spot, investigate, and correct errors prior to review, offering proactive support to managers on job completion.
- Act as a reliable, consistent presence in team delivery, coaching junior colleagues on systems, processes, and accounting basics.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, demonstrating commercial awareness and professional integrity in all interactions.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and apply new technical learnings to elevate team efficiency and quality standards.
