Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, serving as their primary day‑to‑day point of contact for compliance and query resolution.
  • Prepare and review high‑quality personal tax returns and Making Tax Digital (MTD) submissions with minimal supervision.
  • Formulate, calculate, and submit accurate P11D forms, benefits‑in‑kind calculations, and employer Class 1A National Insurance Contributions (NICs).
  • Identify personal tax planning opportunities across income tax, capital gains, and inheritance tax, proactively escalating complex files to managers and partners.
  • Review technical computations prepared by junior team members, providing practical on‑the‑job support and guidance.
  • Draft comprehensive correspondence and technical disclosures to HMRC in relation to routine enquiries and client disclosures.
  • Monitor active workflows to ensure internal procedures and statutory HMRC deadlines are met meticulously across the personal tax department.

As a Tax Senior you will:

  • Possess a minimum of three years' experience specialised within personal tax compliance and advisory workflows.
  • Hold an ATT or CTA qualification, which is highly desirable for this senior position within the team.
