As a Senior Bookkeeper you will
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping requirements for a varied portfolio of clients using Xero and Quick Books.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements while identifying and advising on complex VAT issues.
- Support clients through system improvements, training, and smooth transitions onto cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Prepare comprehensive bookkeeping records through to trial balance alongside bank, control account, and balance sheet reconciliations.
As the successful candidate you will
- Possess at least 4 years of UK accountancy practice experience within a dedicated bookkeeping role.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software, specifically Xero and Quick Books, with Xero certification highly desirable.
- Bring an excellent understanding of VAT legislation and Making Tax Digital compliance.
- Hold strong Microsoft Excel skills combined with high attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities to manage multiple deadlines.
