Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, wealthy families, trusts, and estates.
- Oversee the preparation, submission, and review of annual tax returns for all delegated clients.
- Lead IHT reporting requirements, including the completion of IHT 100 and IHT 400 forms.
- Provide high-level advisory services on private client and personal tax issues, identifying opportunities for succession planning and offshore structures.
- Manage HMRC interventions, including s9A enquiries, investigations, and voluntary disclosures.
- Support senior staff and partners on complex international and cross-border tax projects.
- Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives to grow the private client tax offering.
As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager you will:
- Utilise your CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualification to deliver technically excellent tax solutions.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Liaise directly with HMRC and clients to resolve complex queries and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Leverage advanced tax software and IT systems to provide efficient and commercial client service.
- Maintain an up-to-date technical knowledge of evolving tax legislation through continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively across departments to spot opportunities for OMB projects and holistic client wealth management.
